History 

 Original Motivation

Pedagogica evolved out of our perceived need to be able to customize applications built on scientific and mathematical models, that were used for education in the classroom. These applications were (and are) generally speaking, highly interactive with many visual affordances for using the models. However, their power and generality meant that their usability in the classroom was limited, without supplementary materials and documentation. We believed their usability would be greatly improved by integrating the supplementary materials and documentation as seamlessly as possible with the models, to provide a unified and comprehensible experience for the student user.
